Track work with a custom dashboard

Dashboards are an efficient way to gather key information about your team's work at-a-glance. You can create custom dashboards in Monday.com and connect them to any project Board you're collaborating on. By the end of this Cubetorial, you will be able to:

  • Create a new dashboard
  • Connect a board as source data
  • Add, configure, and customize widgets

Create a new dashboard

Click + Add on your left-sidebar and select New Dashboard.

Give your dashboard a name and set a privacy setting. Next, click Create Dashboard.

Connect to a Board, or Boards

Select a board or set of boards to add as the source of information you'll want displayed on your dashboard.

Add, configure, and customize widgets

Now for the fun part: Building your dashboard :)

Choose a widget to start with. For this example, we're using the Chart widget.

Use the panel on the right to set criteria and customize the way data will be displayed on your widget. Use the larger panel on the left to visualize data, click to filter, and add items to the Board you connected with real-time updates to the widget. When you're ready, click Done.

The dashboard will appear with a dotted canvas.

Click and drag the corner of the widget to another dot somewhere on the canvas. The size of each widget can be reduced or expanded to other dots throughout the canvas. Though, size restrictions apply when the widget becomes too small or too large.

Visualize data more efficiently

Ultimately, dashboards are a place where people can visualize information and extract an important message. Thankfully, Monday.com makes it easy to build custom dashboards and create engaging experiences for viewers and collaborators.
