This template is designed for individual use for solo entrepreneurs, freelancers, students, or for personal use. It can be used to track all the software tools you work with that make up your “digital toolbox”.
Think of this board as your technical inventory. By identifying all the tools you use to accomplish your goals, objectives, and tasks for either your business, educational, or personal endeavors, you can define the scope and conventions used for each tool.
Use this board to track the different tools you’ve selected across multiple categories of your digital toolbox (a.k.a tech stack).
This board is organized into multiple columns known as Lists that represent different categories of productivity software that make up your digital toolbox.
The initial software categories are as follows:
If there are other categories of software not captured in this template that pertain to your toolbox, feel free to add as many lists to this board as you’d like.
Each list contains one or more task cards which represent sample software tools. If you see a software tool listed that you actually use, keep it on your board and modify as needed to suit your use case.
You’ll find common tools in each list that correspond to the category they’re listed under, which you can archive and delete at any time if you do not plan on using it. If a tool in your toolbox isn’t listed on the board, add a new task card to the list, set an image logo as the cover image, and add a description of what it is and how you plan to use it.
To prevent overlapping categories from filling up the board, labels are used as subcategories to further define the type of tool shown in the list. Feel free to add as many labels for subcategories as you’d like.
Each card in every list contains sample descriptions of how you plan to use the tool for your work. Each description starts with an explanation of the tool (e.g., What is Trello?), followed by a bulleted list of sample conventions for using it (e.g., How I use Trello).
