With Microsoft Edge, you can install your favorite websites as desktop applications to your computer. This is a useful feature for users looking for a desktop experience for websites and SaaS tools that do not yet offer native desktop versions of their software.
How to Do It
- Launch Microsoft Edge
- Click the ellipses in the top-right corner of the toolbar
- Hover your cursor over Apps
- Select Install this site as an app

Give the app a name.

The browser downloads an executable file for your application, applies it to the list of apps in your Windows Start menu (or your MacOS Applications folder), and adds it to the list of installed apps in your control panel.
- Search the name of the new app in your Start Menu (Windows) or Applications folder (MacOS) and launch it just like any normal desktop app.

Things to Consider
While the new app may seem like a desktop app, you still access the app via the Edge browser, just in a different display mode. That is, a window without the familiar browser toolbar at the top of your screen. You’ll need to maintain an internet connection for your new app modules to work properly (unless the app supports offline work).
